Mr Spin’s Guide to Wagering Requirements

What are wagering requirements?

If a bonus has wagering requirements, this means that it must be wagered (or played through) a set number of times before you can withdraw any winnings generated by that bonus.

The amount that you need to wager is not a set figure. It will always be a multiplier of the bonus you receive. At Mr Spin, the wagering requirement on free bonuses is 40x, so that means you’ll need to play through that bonus 40 times over before your winnings become cashable, and withdrawable, credit.

The 40x wagering requirement only applies to bonuses you receive, and not to any deposits you make. Deposits have no wagering requirements and you are free to withdraw any unspent deposit at any time.

How much does each type of game count towards wagering?

Different types of Mr Spin games have different contributions towards your wagering requirement. For example, as Bingo has a 1000% contribution, spending £1 on Bingo tickets will mean that £10 is removed from your wagering requirement.

Type of Game Percentage contribution towards wagering
Slots 100%
Bingo 1000%
Roulette 10%
Blackjack 10%

The minimum stake on Roulette or Blackjack games that will contribute to the Wagering is £0.10.

When playing with bonus credit winnings from casino games, the wagering contribution taken from the remaining bonus wagering will be the contribution % of the casino game, regardless of what type of game is being played.

For example, if you win £10 on Roulette, then play with that £10 in a slots game, the wagering contribution for the slots play will be 10% (the casino game wagering contribution).

How do wagering requirements affect what I can withdraw?

There are two types of credit that you can have in your account: cashable credit and bonus credit.

Cashable Credit Bonus Credit
When you make a deposit, it goes into your cashable credit. You can withdraw any winnings from this at any time. When bonus credit has passed its 40x wagering requirement, it will move into cashable credit and can be withdrawn. This is any form of funds that come from promotional bonuses, including free bonus credit, free spins and deposit match bonuses that have not yet passed the 40x wagering requirement. This type of credit cannot be withdrawn until wagering is met.

Let’s say you’ve made a deposit and received a deposit match bonus. If you win from your deposit, you’re free to withdraw those winnings. However, if you make the withdrawal, you will forfeit the equivalent amount of bonus credit if that hasn’t yet met the 40x bonus wagering requirement.

Money is staked from your cashable credit before your bonus credit, so you may find that you’re winning from your own deposit before your bonus credit is even touched.

Can we look at an example?

Sure! Let’s imagine you’ve made a £10 deposit and received a 100% first deposit match worth another £10. Your £10 deposit will go straight into your cashable credit and so any winnings from this £10 will be available to withdraw. The £10 deposit match bonus will go into your bonus credit and will not be available to withdraw until you’ve met that 40x wagering requirement.

Cashable Credit Bonus Credit Bonus Credit Wagering Requirement Notes
£10 £10 £400 In this example, you’ve made a £10 deposit and received 100% deposit match. This gives you cashable credit of £10 and bonus credit of £10. The bonus credit has a 40x wagering requirement.

In this scenario, you’ve won £200 with your £10 deposit. Result! You’re free to withdraw that right away, but if the 40x wagering requirement hasn’t been met on the £10 deposit match bonus yet, that £10 bonus credit would be forfeited.

Cashable Credit Bonus Credit Bonus Credit Wagering Requirement Notes
£200 £10 £400 You have winnings of £200 from the original £10 deposit
£0 £0 £0 You have withdrawn your £200 cashable credit before meeting your £400 bonus credit wagering, thus forfeiting your bonus amount of £10 and setting your account balance to £0.

What about if you chose to withdraw only half (50%) of your £200 winnings, and leave the other £100 in your cashable credit? In that case, the same proportion (50%) of your bonus credit would be removed. So whichever percentage of your total cashable credit you decided to withdraw BEFORE bonus wagering is met, the same percentage will be forfeited from your bonus credit.

That forfeited bonus credit will stay attached to your withdrawal though. So if you decided to reverse your pending withdrawal, both the cashable credit AND the forfeited bonus credit would go back into your account. Here’s how that looks on the table:

Cashable Credit Bonus Credit Bonus Credit Wagering Requirement Notes
£10 £10 £400 You’ve made a £10 deposit and received 100% deposit match. This gives you cashable credit of £10 and bonus credit of £10. The bonus credit has a 40x wagering requirement.
£200 £10 £400 You have winnings of £200 from the original £10 deposit
£100 £5 £200 You have withdrawn 50% of your cashable credit, £100, leaving you with £100 in your cashable. The same percentage, 50% (£5), of your bonus credit has been voided due to this withdrawal.
